THE HORIZON

To me, this opal looks like
a distant horizon, softly covered in mist.

Soft, milky blue meets flashes of vivid blue and green,
like a quiet sea stretching toward the horizon.

We cannot see what lies beyond it.

A place we haven’t visited yet.
A journey we haven’t taken yet.
People and landscapes we haven’t encountered yet.
